Seven Local Students Awarded Scholarship from AgCredit

AgCredit has announced the recipients of its 2025 Joe Leiser Memorial Scholarships. The scholarship program honors Joe Leiser, AgCredit’s first president and CEO, who was known for his deep-rooted passion for agriculture and his commitment to doing what was right for farmers. Each year, the program awards scholarships to dependent family members of AgCredit voting stockholders pursuing degrees in agriculture or related community-supported fields.

This year, seven students will each receive $2,000 to support their educational goals during the 2025–2026 academic year. AgCredit congratulates the following students: 

  • Adele Dowdell of Lorain County will attend The University of Findlay, majoring in Animal Science/Pre-Vet with a minor in Biology.
  • Grace Goyings of Paulding County will attend Bowling Green State University, majoring in Biology with a minor in Horticulture or Botany.
  • Kyleigh Klingshirn of Lorain County will attend The Ohio State University ATI, majoring in Animal Science–Animal Industries (Beef Specialization) and Agribusiness.
  • Kael Margraf of Seneca County will attend Ohio Northern University, majoring in Civil Engineering.
  • Garrett Schlechter of Lorain County will attend The Ohio State University ATI, majoring in Agribusiness Management.
  • Clark Schroeder of Putnam County will attend Bowling Green State University, majoring in Business with a minor in Finance.
  • Tyler Wiemken of Defiance County will attend Huntington University, majoring in Agribusiness with a focus on Economics and Finance.
