AgCredit Debuts Agriculture Podcast

AgCredit, a cooperative agricultural lending institution, announced the launch of its new podcast. AgCredit Said It, a podcast about all things rural living, brings together a team of experienced ag lenders dedicated to serving the rural community as they interview experts from across the agriculture industry.

The show focuses on topics such as how new borrowers can build a strong relationship with their lender, how to prepare year-end financials for farm operations and the benefits of cooperative lending. The podcast is geared toward beginning farmers and seasoned professionals alike and releases new episodes every first and third Monday of the month.

Hosted by AgCredit lenders, Phil Young, Brenna Finnegan, Libby Wixtead and Matt Adams, each episode brings insights, advice and must-have information to its listeners to help them understand topics like agronomy, succession planning, farm security and equipment financing.

“When we first started talking about doing a podcast, one of my goals for this was to answer questions that a member or non-member may be afraid to ask, or may not know how to ask,” said Matt Adams, AgCredit account officer and AgCredit Said It podcast host. “I hope that we can answer those questions and also bring up topics that listeners never really thought of before. The more knowledge that we can put out there about our industry - it makes agriculture as a whole that much stronger.”

The most recent episode featured guest Joel Althauser, credit analyst at AgCredit. The episode discusses what a balance sheet is, why it’s important, and other valuable tips on filling out this essential record keeping document. In its first week of launch, episodes received nearly 500 downloads.
